Some functional mushrooms — including reishi, chaga, lion’s mane, and cordyceps — that have been used therapeutically for centuries are now often referred to as adaptogenic mushrooms for their supportive role in the body's natural adaptation. We use both the mycelial biomass and fruiting bodies of mushrooms, and allow them to complete their full growth cycle. Although it often has a bad reputation, mycelium produces an extraordinary array of powerful enzymes that provide a complex matrix of bio-active, health-promoting compounds.
